Hess Select Pinot Noir 2013

Everyone has a favorite growing region in California for Pinot Noir, but one of our favorites has always been focused on Monterey, and in particular on the distinctive fruit that comes from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Earthy aromas tinged with white pepper set the stage for aromas and flavors of sour Bing cherry, rhubarb and Pomegranate. There's a nice balance of acid, a touch of sweetness and well managed tannins. This is truly a wine that over delivers, a Pinot Noir for everyday drinking.
