Mikkeller is a microbrewery in Copenhagen, Denmark established by home brewers, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø and Kristian Klarup Keller. After years of experimental home brewing, the two finally founded the Mikkeller Brewery in 2006. Some of the inspirations root back in Mikkel’s great experience with Indian Pale Ale from the Brockhouse Brewery and American breweries. Mikkeller brewery has always strived to craft beers that would challenge people’s palate using raw, fresh materials and unique ingredients, such as lychee fruit, chipotle chili and Vietnamese Kopi Luwak coffee. Some of the results of this goal are the creation of fine beers like the Dream Pils, Black Stout and Double Eye IPA.
